What Is Robotic RPLND?

RPLND (Retroperitoneal Lymph Node Dissection) is a surgical procedure performed after orchiectomy (testis removal) in the treatment of testicular cancer. The lymph nodes behind the abdominal wall are removed to evaluate whether the cancer has spread.

Robotic RPLND is performed in a far less traumatic manner compared to open surgery, thanks to the da Vinci system. Ejaculation nerves are preserved through the nerve-preserving technique, maintaining the patient's fertility capacity.

Advantages of Robotic RPLND

Nerve Preservation

Ejaculation nerves preserved to maintain fertility

Minimal Incision

Small ports instead of large open surgery incision

Less Blood Loss

Minimal bleeding with robotic precision

Fast Recovery

Early return to work and daily life

3D Imaging

Precise dissection near major vessels

Short Stay

2-4 days hospital stay
